Specialized Care
OCD Therapy
Therapy to loosen the cycle of obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours, using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
What we can work on together
- A careful assessment of your obsessions, compulsions and what you avoid
- Understanding the cycle: why compulsions bring short relief but keep OCD going
- Cognitive behavioural therapy for OCD, at a pace you agree to
- Learning to live with doubt and "what if" thoughts without arguing with them
- Helping family members respond in ways that support recovery
When OCD is severe, therapy often works best alongside a psychiatrist's care. If that would help you, a referral will be discussed openly.
How sessions work
Sessions last 60 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free, so you can see whether working together feels right before committing to anything. You can come in person to MIND CARE in New Eskaton, Dhaka, or meet online by Zoom or Google Meet from anywhere in Bangladesh.
Everything you share is kept strictly confidential. The first conversation is about understanding what is happening for you and what you would like to change; together we then decide on a plan that fits.
